Central United Methodist
Type: renovation | Category: Spiritual & Worship
The renovation of downtown Fayetteville’s iconic Central United Methodist Church included the demolition and reconstruction of the North end of the sanctuary for use as a music suite and partial renovation of the sanctuary chancel.
New entry and exit points in the sanctuary were created to allow for better flow. Detailed planning was carefully considered to allow services to be conducted without interruption each and every Sunday throughout the construction period. Incorporation of the addition involved integrating HVAC, controls, lighting and plumbing into the existing sanctuary, as well as the church’s new organ. To ensure the renovation not only preserved the historic fabric of the sanctuary interior but replicated it, we digitally duplicated the interior facade with 3D laser scanning.
