Chi Omega
Type: Renovation | Category: Hospitality & Higher Education
The Chi Omega sorority house project at the University of Arkansas consisted of a renovation of the original house built in 1927 and an addition.
The original house underwent a full-blown renovation while a previously built addition from the 1950’s was demolished and rebuilt. The house sleeps 92 students, and the chapter room was expanded to hold over 350. The addition gives the students a larger dining room area and a larger kitchen for family events. Additional features include a covered porte cochere, a TV room, and a co-ed study. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the founding chapter of the organization.
