The Heartland Whole Health Institute is poised to revolutionize the community and the broader healthcare system. Designed by Marlon Blackwell, this innovative 84,000-square-foot facility embodies the mission to “lower costs, improve quality, and broaden access to healthcare in the Heartland.”
The three-story building not only serves as a functional space but also as a visual landmark with its striking design. Its first-floor masonry base supports an elegant curtain wall system and custom brass fins and cladding that wrap the upper levels, creating an architectural icon for the region. Inside, the facility hosts spaces designed to foster wellness and collaboration, including an event space, a teaching kitchen, a café, and offices for Whole Health and Art Bridges.
The landscaping at the Heartland Whole Health Institute in Bentonville, Arkansas, is designed to harmonize with the natural beauty of the Ozarks. The site features native stonework, forest-inspired architecture, and an oval green lawn that promotes wellness and reflection. Elements like a breezeway, terraces, and locally sourced materials help the building blend seamlessly into its wooded surroundings, supporting the institute’s mission of whole health and environmental connection.
