Rock City Harley Davidson
Type: new construction | Category: Retail & Mixed-Use | 42,000 square foot
Rock City Harley-Davidson is a new dealership featuring a colossal showroom for inventory promotion. A 42,000-square-foot ground-up retail project, this sophisticated structure also contains two mezzanines, which house displays of historic Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
This facility also includes a state-of-the-art shop area starring a dyno booth on which technicians can test the bikes. Attached to the showrooms is a state-of-the-art service department and a retail space for parts, apparel, and accessories. The second floor, roughly 14,000 square feet, houses storage rooms, employee offices, and a training classroom for the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy. A window looking down into the shop area was incorporated into its design so that the students could observe the work being done by the shop technicians. In addition to the classroom, students of the course enjoy a one-and-a-half-acre track and training course for hands-on motorcycle operation. At the crown of the building stands the iconic water tower, proudly displaying Harley-Davidson’s bar-and-shield logo. Our team was able to execute this project within a 1-year construction schedule.
