Robert “Bob” Shell is retiring as Chairman of the Board and will now serve as Chairman Emeritus. In 1950, Shell joined The Baldwin Company for a job scheduled to last nine months and ending up staying 67 years.
He was named the President and Chief Executive Officer in 1983 following the death of Baldwin Company co-founder Werner Knoop at which time the company name changed to Baldwin & Shell.
