The high school for the Greene County Tech School District of Paragould can accommodate 1,000 sophomores, juniors and seniors. The building includes a 17,000 square foot top loading basketball arena, featuring a walk around concourse and telescoping seating with 2,268 seats including 580 chair backs and 1,688 bench seats. It also includes a practice gymnasium, which has one full size court, two cross courts and hardwood floors. It is equipped for basketball and volleyball and is fully conditioned. The weight room is 2,400 square feet and fully air conditioned with rubber flooring and floor to ceiling mirrors. The indoor practice facility, which includes synthetic turf installation was built shortly after the High School was completed.
One aspect of this project is the auditorium, which seats 999 and has a separate black box and tech TV classroom as well as video surveillance capabilities on campus. Another aspect is the agricultural facility, which featured a small engine shop and a woodworking lab. In this project dust collection and fresh air systems were all implemented to meet the air quality goals. The insulated doors, sound absorption panels along with increased wall insulation helped to keep operational noise transfer to a minimum.
